Chowchilla Subbasin:

The County of Madera is the exclusive GSA for the portion of the Chowchilla Subbasin in the unincorporated area of the County, and not otherwise covered by another public agency. Other GSAs in the Chowchilla Basin include Chowchilla Water District, Triangle T and Merced County.

Meeting dates and contact information for the Chowchilla subbasin GSAs:

  • Chowchilla Water District (559)665-3747: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m.
  • Triangle T (559) 665-1788: 2nd Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m.

    • Stakeholder Committee meets the 4th Monday of every month starting at 9:30 a.m.
    • Coordinating Committee meets the 4th Monday of every month starting at 1:30 p.m.

 

Delta- Mendota Subbasin:

The Delta-Mendota Subbasin exists within the larger San Joaquin Valley Groundwater basin, as described in the California Department of Water Resources Bulletin 118. The County of Madera is the exclusive GSA for the portion of the Delta-Mendota Subbasin in the unincorporated area of Madera County, and not otherwise covered by another public agency.

Additional GSAs in the Delta-Mendota Subbasin are Aliso Water District and The Exchange Contractors Water Authority.

Madera Subbasin:

The Madera Subbasin exists within the larger San Joaquin Valley Groundwater basin, as described in the California Department of Water Resources Bulletin 118. The County of Madera is the exclusive GSA for the portion of the Madera Subbasin in the unincorporated area of the County, and not otherwise covered by another public agency. There are multiple GSAs within the Madera Subbasin, including the Madera County GSACity of Madera GSAMadera Irrigation DistrictRoot Creek Water District, Madera Water District, Gravelly Ford Water District, New Stone Water District.
